Art Inspired by Resilience and Experience
Chava Pressburger was a mixed media artist, who created evocative works reflecting deep emotions and thoughts from her profound experiences as a Holocaust survivor.
Pressburger shifted from large scale oil paintings, which dominated her early years as a painter, to producing art works on her own handmade paper. By transforming plants into paper, Pressburger attempted to create harmony between herself, nature and the universe while, at the same time, letting her dark past surface and express what she said, “demand to be told”.
